Soave is renowned as one of Italy's most famous white wine regions, earning its DOC status in 1968 and DOCG for Soave Superiore. These prestigious titles are granted to wines made from at least 70% Garganega grapes, grown in hillside vineyards east of Verona, in the Veneto wine region of northeastern Italy. Known for its dry, crisp, and fruity characteristics, Soave’s refreshing appeal contributed to its popularity in the latter half of the 20th century. Spanning 7,000 hectares of vineyards, Soave represents Italy's highest density white wine production district. The Soave and Soave Superiore PDOs are Italian symbols of excellence, produced in volcanic soils by over 3,000 winemaking families, and enjoyed in 68 countries around the world.
Our journey begins through the picturesque Euganei and Berici Hills, en route to Soave's eastern hills, just a few miles from the town center.
A guided walk through the charming vineyards of Soave will be followed by a tasting of the winery’s top wines.
A wine-and-food pairing experience, with a four-wine tasting format complemented by a full traditional menu, starters, and dessert, will be set in a stunning panoramic location. Alternatively, a traditional lunch in one of Soave's exclusive town center restaurants, will be offered, paired with Soave and Valpolicella wines.
The tour concludes with a visit to one of Soave's oldest and most beautiful wineries, nestled within the medieval town walls. Enjoy a guided tour of the winery's cellar, followed by a full tasting of its exquisite wines.
After the tour, the return to Venice is expected in about an hour, depending on traffic conditions.
